Job summary

EAD Management Services is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our team working on industrial and processing facilities. The role involves independent mechanical design, equipment specification, facility layouts, and utility system design, with opportunities to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and advance toward PE licensure.

Responsibilities include developing HVAC and process piping layouts, equipment sizing, and contributing to cost estimates and proposals.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Approximately 3+ years of mechanical engineering or design experience in industrial facilities.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or commitment to obtain within 18 months.
• Working knowledge of building, mechanical, plumbing codes and NFPA standards.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, utility and process piping systems.
• Ability to develop calculations, layouts, and technical documentation with limited supervision.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and mechanical design software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct independent mechanical engineering work using sound judgment.
• Prepare specifications, calculations, layouts, and construction documentation.
• Develop constructable mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, and process systems.
• Specify equipment such as tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, conveyors, and related utilities.
• Perform sizing and various design calculations and analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to drive action items.
• Lead small-scope mechanical projects or work packages with budget and schedule control.
• Develop conceptual cost estimates and contribute to proposals.
• Support construction-phase activities and field coordination.
• Adhere to safety standards and project protocols.
