Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Systems to support design and development of large-scale infrastructure projects. Ideal candidate holds PE license and has strong background in piping, fluid systems, thermal analysis, and equipment sizing.

Responsibilities include designing mechanical systems, performing fluid and thermal calculations, selecting equipment, creating drawings with AutoCAD, and coordinating with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred; licensure near finish may be considered.
• Significant experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Experience designing piping systems and performing fluid flow and thermal calculations.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment sizing and system integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar engineering design software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and applicable codes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, including piping, fluid distribution, and equipment configurations.
• Perform calculations for fluid flow, thermal performance, loads, and stresses.
• Evaluate and select mechanical equipment such as pumps and cooling systems.
• Develop and review drawings, specifications, layouts, and construction documentation.
• Use AutoCAD and other design software to support project execution.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, and other disciplines for system integration.
• Assess performance, address challenges, and propose engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs meet industry codes, safety requirements, and standards.
