Job summary

Corbin Consulting Engineers in Tempe, Arizona is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to join a multi-discipline team serving technology, industrial, and life-sciences clients. The role focuses on designing mechanical and process systems, coordinating with design teams, leading design reviews, and producing P&ID drawings and construction documents.

A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 7+ years in an A/E firm are preferred; PE registration is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred
• PE registration is preferred

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design for mechanical and process systems including HVAC, proc piping, and tool installation packages
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design team members
• Participate in client design review meetings and present design strategies
• Prepare P&ID drawings, construction specifications, sequences of operations, and testing documents
• Provide services during construction: field verification, site observation reports, RFIs, and submittal reviews

Summary

We are seeking a senior mechanical engineer for our Tempe office who will work with a competent multi-discipline team of peers with a wide range of experience levels. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new office serving industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design for mechanical and process systems ranging from simple to complex. Types of design can include mechanical facility upgrades for semiconductor manufacturing plants, process piping and exhaust, hydronic systems, facility HVAC, and tool installation packages.
• Coordination with design team members, both in mechanical/process and other disciplines.
• Participation in client design review meetings and presentation of design strategies.
• Preparation of P&ID drawings for various systems, construction specifications, sequence of operations, testing documents, and engineering reports.
• Services during construction, including field verification, site observation reports, responses to RFIs, and submittal reviews.

Education and Experience

• At least 7 years of experience working for an architectural/engineering (A/E) consulting firm.
• Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
• PE registration is preferred.
