Actalent seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced optical payload systems for space-based applications. You will guide concepts through production, ensuring structures meet thermal, mechanical, and reliability requirements while actively managing risks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust designs and maintain compliance with ITAR and export controls, leveraging CAD tools and rigorous GD&T practices.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience in the satellite or launch vehicle industry.
• Proficient in CAD, GD&T standards, and ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and integration of optical payload systems from concept through production.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system meets structural, thermal, and reliability requirements.
• Manage technical risks throughout the development lifecycle.
