Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a capable mechanical engineer to design, analyze, and lead electromechanical systems used in industrial settings, including high-reliability environments.

You will lead a small team of 3-5 engineers, perform 3D modeling in SolidWorks, run FEA with ANSYS, and ensure designs are manufacturable (DFM) and well documented. Collaboration with program managers and lead engineers is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 5–10 years of related experience.
• Ability to lead a small engineering team (3-5 engineers) and interface with program managers.
• Active Professional Engineering license a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and analyzes mechanical/electromechanical systems for industrial applications.
• Develops 3D models and shop drawings using SolidWorks.
• Performs structural, thermal and FEA analyses with ANSYS.
• Oversees fabrication, installation, and testing to ensure conformance with specs.
• Writes design basis documents and system design descriptions.
