Job summary

SPX Technologies in Mason, Ohio seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in New Product Development to design, test, and launch new fan and air movement products. You will collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and quality teams to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 8+ years of design engineering experience, CAD proficiency (Inventor/SolidWorks), and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of design engineering experience in product development or manufacturing.
• Experience with CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new industrial fan and air movement products.
• Create engineering models, drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Perform product testing and verify performances.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams.
• Support DFMEA and stage-gate processes.
• Provide technical support during development and implementation.
