Global Edge Group LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and refinement of mud pumps and high-pressure fluid end equipment in Houston. The role emphasizes heavy machinery design, FEA, and collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams.

The candidate will perform stress analyses, develop detailed production drawings, and guide testing and qualification activities to ensure reliability and compliance with API/ISO standards. Hybrid work options may apply.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of direct machine design and mechanical development experience in heavy industrial machinery or oilfield surface equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in mud pumps, positive displacement pumps, frac pumps, or high-pressure power/fluid ends.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling tools (Creo, SolidWorks, or Inventor) and FEA packages (Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation).
• Ability to read, review, and interpret complex P&IDs, hydraulic circuits, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of API 7K, API 6A, API 8C and ISO 9001 or API Q1 environments.
• Strong understanding of high-pressure fluid power design, hydraulic component selection, and fluid dynamics.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities and precise technical communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design, development, and refinement of mud pumps and high-pressure fluid end equipment.
• Perform stress, fatigue, and reliability analyses (FEA) on critical components.
• Create detailed layouts, production drawings, and tolerance analyses.
• Select and specify mechanical and hydraulic components for cost-effective solutions.
• Design, execute, and oversee test plans and qualification testing.
• Generate engineering reports and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, field operations, and procurement teams.
