GE HealthCare in Waukesha, Wisconsin seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead complex mechanical designs for the MR Patient Handling subsystem, translating customer needs and clinical workflows into reliable, verifiable solutions within a strong magnetic field environment.

You will serve as the technical owner from concept through release, drive design decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with global teams across systems engineering in a regulated medical device setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years in applied mechanical design, analysis, and verification of mechanical structures within a medical device environment.
• Experience designing and managing complex mechanical assemblies in a regulated engineering environment.
• Proven ownership and successful delivery of complex mechanical designs through verification and release.
• Ability to lead technical design reviews, make sound engineering decisions, and mentor engineers.

Responsabilités

• Own complex mechanical designs for assigned subsystems from concept through release and lifecycle support.
• Serve as the primary technical owner for critical subsystem development and integration activities.
• Translate system requirements, customer needs, clinical workflows, and subsystem interfaces into mechanical concepts and detailed designs.
• Plan and execute verification and reliability testing to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
• Lead design reviews, feasibility studies, and trade studies within areas of expertise.
