Job summary

GE HealthCare in Waukesha, WI seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and verify mechanical components for MR systems. You will develop CAD models, drawings, and documentation, support materials and assemblies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet safety, reliability, and manufacturability goals.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, at least 2 years of design experience, proficiency with Creo or similar CAD tools, and the ability to work onsite and communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• At least 2 years of mechanical design, analysis, and verification experience.
• Experience creating and modifying 3D CAD models and drawings using Creo or similar.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work full-time onsite at GE HealthCare's Waukesha, WI facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical concepts, detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation for components and assemblies.
• Design and support components using sheet metal, plastics, metals, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Perform structural, thermal, and vibration analyses to evaluate designs.
• Participate in design tradeoff studies balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability.
• Support prototype builds, verification testing, and durability assessments.
• Document results, investigate failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Follow design controls and quality system procedures; communicate progress and risks.
