Job summary

The City and County of Honolulu's Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Capital Projects Division, seeks a Mechanical Engineer IV in Honolulu to lead complex construction projects, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure progress reports and cost reporting are completed to schedule.

The role requires presenting to government agencies, maintaining safety on site, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Three years of non-registered mechanical engineering experience.
• Hawaii professional mechanical engineer license required; Type 3 driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction procedures and activities with City and County, State, utilities, engineering firms, contractors, and the public.
• Coordinate and present scopes of work and schedules to agencies and community groups.
• Prepare and oversee work progress and cost reports for major construction projects.
