Job summary

Delkor Systems in Saint Paul, MN seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to lead development of new machinery concepts, estimate costs, and publish specifications for milestone reviews. You will play a key role in translating customer needs into efficient, safe machinery designs and manage complex development projects.

The ideal candidate holds a BSME or engineering degree with extensive SolidWorks experience, project leadership, and mentoring abilities. Limited travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BSME plus six years of experience or an Associates Degree in Engineering plus a minimum of ten years machine design experience.
• Experience designing with SolidWorks or similar 3-D solid modeling package strongly preferred.
• Experience managing development projects.
• Ability to read, understand, analyze and problem-solve complex mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develops new machinery concepts and cost targets.
• Develops overall machine layout, assemblies, and drawings.
• Provides technical project management from order entry to field test completion.
• Mentors and educates colleagues in machinery development practices.
