Job summary

GBA in Broomfield, CO seeks aSenior Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC, plumbing and mechanical utilities for life sciences facilities. You will lead design concepts, calculations and equipment selections, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet regulatory and client goals.

You should have a PE license and 7+ years of relevant experience in regulated environments. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license required or in process for Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in Life Sciences, biotech, or regulated facilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical utility systems for Life Sciences facilities.
• Develop mechanical design concepts aligned with client requirements and budgets.
• Perform design calculations, equipment selections, and reviews.
• Evaluate existing systems and plan retrofit/upgrade strategies.
• Coordinate with architecture, electrical, process engineering, and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
