Job summary

Greensight is seeking a smart mechanical engineer to lead projects and contribute to the design, development, and testing of mechanical elements for UAVs, ground and amphibious robots. Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 1 year of hands-on experience with robotic systems, in a fast-paced startup environment.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, documentation, and ongoing improvement across prototypes, testing, and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with mechanical robotic systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze UAV and robot concepts.
• Produce detailed CAD designs for manufacture.
• Prototype components using machine shop or 3D printing.
• Optimize parts for mass manufacture (e.g., injection molding).
• Oversee prototype manufacturing with outside vendors.
• Lead mechanical assembly of prototypes and subsystems.
• Test and characterize propulsion systems.
