Job summary

GreenSight is seeking a smart, highly-capable Mechanical Engineer to lead projects and participate in the design, development and testing of the mechanical elements of GreenSight’s UAVs, ground and amphibious robots. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5–10+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical robotic systems.

You will work in a small, tight-knit team with strong emphasis on communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5–10+ years hands-on experience with mechanical robotic systems.
• Experience with UAVs, prototypes, and mass-manufacture processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a fast-paced startup.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine UAV/mechanical concepts and detailed designs for manufacture.
• Build prototype components in-house or via vendors and 3D printing.
• Lead mechanical assembly and oversee manufacturing of prototypes.
• Test propulsion systems and participate in flight tests.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses of components.
• Contribute to proposals and business development.
