Job summary

Blue Ridge Executive Search is seeking a Mechanical Engineering leader in New York City. The role requires overseeing engineers, designers, and CAD operators on large infrastructure projects as the engineer of record.

Responsibilities include HVAC system design, calculations, and construction drawings, with coordination across architects, contractors, and government agencies. A BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering and NYS PE license are required.

Qualifications

• Must lead engineers, designers, and CAD operators.
• Engineer of record for infrastructure projects ranging from $5M to $75M.
• Expertise in boilers, chillers, air handling, BMS upgrades, electrical conversions, and piping.
• Develop engineering calculations, HVAC load analysis, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and government agencies (DASNY, CUNY, OGS).
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations in NYC/NY state.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and CAD operators.
• Serve as engineer of record for large infrastructure projects.
• Oversee HVAC system design including boilers, chillers, BMS, and piping.
• Prepare calculations, load analyses, and construction drawings.
• Interface with architects, contractors, and public agencies (DASNY, CUNY, OGS).
• Ensure compliance with NYC/NY state codes and standards.
