Job summary

IMEG in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design efforts on moderate to complex projects within the vertical building industry. You will manage projects from concept through delivery, overseeing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection analyses.

Responsibilities include design reviews, client communication, mentoring staff and ensuring IMEG quality standards. Travel up to 20% may be required; this role is full-time onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 7+ years in building design consulting; 8 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with clients and teams; manage project scope and budget.
• Provide in-process design reviews and mentoring.
• Ensure quality control per IMEG standards and client needs.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
