IMEG Corp in Madison, WI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems on complex building projects. You will provide project direction, analyze systems, and deliver designs and reports while mentoring junior staff.

You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to codes, budgets, and schedules. The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and effective communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PE license required.
• 7–8 years in building design consulting (preferred).
• Strong design, analysis, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Develop detailed designs, calculations, and specifications per codes and IMEG standards.
• Perform site assessments and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and communicate effectively.
• Provide in-process design reviews and uphold quality control.
• Mentor and train team members; assist with field issue resolution.
