Job summary

Midrex Technologies Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design systems and equipment for Direct Reduction plants and new technology initiatives. You will lead the mechanical design effort, direct engineers and designers, review drawings, and develop specs for procurement.

The role requires reviewing vendor submittals, providing technical support to multiple departments, and traveling to fabrication sites and job locations to gather data and ensure design integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in industrial/technical environment, preferably steel industry.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically 10–25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design efforts for projects and review drawings.
• Coordinate design work and vendor submittals.
• Develop specs and requisitions for purchasing.
• Provide technical support to Aftermarket, Inspections & Purchasing.
