Job summary

Midrex Technologies, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design systems and equipment for Direct Reduction plants and new technology initiatives. You will perform analyses, sketch concepts, and provide technical support across Aftermarket, Inspections, and Purchasing teams.

Travel 10–25% internationally and domestically as needed. Entry-level candidates will be considered; a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Entry level candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform designs and mechanical analyses with guidance from a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Sketch conceptual designs and translate to drawings.
• Provide technical support for Aftermarket, Inspections & Purchasing with vendor submittals and on-site inspections.
• Provide direction to designers and review designs for compliance with specs and codes.
• Travel to fabrication workshops and job sites to collect data and gain design insights.
• Write Technical Specifications for mechanical equipment design and procurement.
