Job summary

Midrex Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design systems and equipment for Direct Reduction plants and new tech initiatives. The role leads mechanical design efforts, coordinates with engineers and designers, and writes technical specifications.

The position requires extensive mechanical engineering expertise, travel to client sites, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial or technical environment, preferably in steel.

Responsibilities

• Perform designs and mechanical analyses with direction from a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Lead mechanical design efforts for projects by directing engineers and designers.
• Develop specifications and requisitions for purchasing and QA documentation.
• Travel to fabrication workshops and job sites for on-site inspections and data collection.
