Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and execution of mechanical systems across government, education, transportation, and commercial projects in our Fairfax, VA office.

The role emphasizes project leadership, HVAC/plumbing/fire protection design, and close client collaboration. A PE license, BS in ME, and 16+ years of experience are required; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• PE license in Maryland or comity within 6 months.
• 16+ years of experience in mechanical design and project management.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, energy modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams in mechanical systems design for buildings.
• Develop and review HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and deliver solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply innovative solutions.
• Ensure design documents and calculations are accurate.
