The role requires a PE license (MD comity within 6 months), a 16+ year track record in mechanical design and project management, and strong client communication in a US citizen workspace. Office-based at our Fairfax, VA location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• PE license in MD or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months from another state.
• Minimum 16 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams in the design and execution of mechanical systems for various building types and applications.
• Develop and review detailed mechanical designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring code compliance.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply innovative solutions.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of design documents and calculations.
• Manage project budgets and schedules to meet milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
