Job summary

Aegis Sortation seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive development and execution of complex mechanical conveyor and installation designs. You will apply systems engineering principles, mentor peers, and ensure deliverables meet schedule and quality standards.

You will collaborate with design teams, project managers and customers, creating robust drawings, plans and BOMs while traveling to sites as needed. Strong leadership and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical program; equivalents considered.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical conveyor/installation design.
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other 3D CAD software.
Ability to lead projects with a few team members.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering theory to problems in industrial layout and design.
Interpret sketches, specifications, or drawings.
Collaborate with design engineers, project engineers, and customers to meet requirements.
Develop engineering design plan and project schedule with the team.
Produce mechanical installation detail drawings and BOMs.
Lead internal design reviews and mentor peers.
Travel to customer facilities for site surveys (approx. 15%).
