Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC.
• 7+ years of experience in design and development of mechanical and plumbing layouts and/or project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and maintain engineering scope for projects.
• Work with Operations to align construction budgets with engineering scope.
• Perform and review detailed load calculations using Trane Trace 700/3D Plus and interpret results.
• Conduct life-cycle cost analyses among system alternatives to guide selections.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and regulations.
• Coordinate mechanical requirements with architects and other engineers.
• Prepare written specifications and sequences of operation.
• Meet commitments to owners, general contractors, and internal teams; manage design/construction interfaces.
