Job summary

Comrise is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the operation, optimization, and improvement of HVAC and environmental-control systems within a high-tech manufacturing facility. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and external contractors to ensure stable conditions across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Approximately 5–15 years of relevant engineering experience in industrial HVAC, facilities, utilities, thermal systems, or related field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, and psychrometrics.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing AHUs, air handling systems, dehumidification equipment, or similar HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with HVAC controls, VFDs, PID loops, BMS/SCADA, or industrial automation systems.
• Experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, testing, balancing, or contractor management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering, operation, and optimization of industrial HVAC and environmental-control systems (AHUs, RAUs/RAHs, dehumidification, related equipment).
• Troubleshoot issues involving temperature, humidity, airflow, pressure, and thermal loads.
• Analyze HVAC system performance to improve reliability, efficiency, capacity, and energy consumption.
• Apply engineering principles, data analysis, and root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues.
• Support HVAC equipment upgrades, capacity expansions, retrofits, and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors during installation, testing, balancing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
