Job summary

Sweed Machinery seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and implement industrial equipment and engineered solutions. This hands-on role manages projects from concept through implementation, works directly with customers and suppliers, and supports testing, commissioning, and startup in the field. This is a full-time, onsite position at our Gold Hill, Oregon facility.

Travel up to 15% within the U.S. and Canada may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering or industrial equipment design experience.
• Proficiency with Solid Edge or similar 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and improve industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
• Manage multiple projects from concept through implementation with priorities and deadlines.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines for system integration.
• Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup support.
• Travel to customer and manufacturing locations within the U.S. and Canada up to 15%.
