Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of mechanical systems for a range of building sectors. You will guide mechanical teams, prepare drawings and calculations, and coordinate with architects and clients to deliver integrated building designs.

Responsibilities include scheduling management, code-compliant HVAC design, and collaboration with other disciplines to achieve high-quality construction documents. PE licensure and Revit proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems, central plants, plumbing and fire suppression.
• Knowledge of the design/construction process and cross-discussion with other disciplines.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers and clients in an integrated design process.
• Create and coordinate documents using Revit.
• Perform mechanical/HVAC calculations including code research.
• Write and review specifications.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Conduct site visits as needed.
• Manage mechanical project teams and interdisciplinary teams.
