Frederick Fox LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and implement HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical systems for healthcare, industrial, and commercial facilities, ensuring efficiency and code compliance.

You will lead technical documentation, perform load calculations, collaborate with clients and project teams, review drawings, support construction, and drive energy efficiency and quality improvements across multiple projects.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering and HVAC design.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and load calculations.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, and FGI codes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project-management skills.

Mansioni

• Lead design and implementation of HVAC and plumbing systems for new construction, upgrades, and replacements.
• Conduct heating and cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, ductwork and piping design, and performance evaluations.
• Develop detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and construction documents.
• Ensure designs meet codes and industry standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, FGI, and LEED as applicable.
• Collaborate with clients, general contractors, electrical engineers, sales teams, and project managers.
• Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, and documentation during construction.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, energy efficiency, and overall project value.
• Maintain engineering standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
