Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience with HVAC design and building mechanical systems preferred.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
• Knowledge of building and energy codes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented with quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for building projects.
• Design HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selections.
• Prepare mechanical construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, and equipment submittals.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, mechanical codes, energy codes, and industry standards.
• Work with project managers, clients, and other design professionals to meet project schedules and expectations.
• Assist with evaluating existing mechanical systems and developing recommendations for improvements.
