Job summary

Cromwell Architects Engineers in Springdale, AR seeks a Mechanical Engineer or Designer to design and develop HVAC systems, perform load calculations, and prepare specifications for diverse environments. The role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, and builders, plus on-site inspections and field testing as needed.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of HVAC experience, proficiency in Revit, and a Mechanical Engineering degree with PE considered an asset. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• 8+ years' experience in HVAC systems, field surveys and construction punch lists.
• Experience in plumbing design is a plus.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform heating and cooling load calculations.
• HVAC system design to include air distribution, hydronic piping, system and equipment selection, and HVAC control systems.
• Prepare specifications based on design.
• Review design drawings in relation to plans and specifications.
• Perform assessments of existing building HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform on-site inspections during construction ensuring all systems meet codes and standards.
• Stay updated on HVAC technologies and conduct field tests.
• Meet with owners and understand project requirements.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and interns.
• Travel: 10%
