Job summary

Career-Collective in United States seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects. You will prepare drawings, specifications, load calculations, and construction cost estimates.

The role requires 1+ year of HVAC design experience and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, with EIT/PE preferred. Collaboration with architecture, electrical, and civil teams is essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in HVAC/Mechanical Design Engineering; commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, education, or mission critical projects a plus.
• EIT or PE license highly preferred but non-licensed candidates will be considered for Designer positions.
• Experience using Revit or AutoCAD required; experience with Trane Trace, Trace 700, and/or CarrierHAP a plus.
• Experience with plumbing or fire protection design a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Prepare HVAC load calculations and cost estimates.
• Conduct surveys and document existing mechanical systems.
• Review bid documents, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and write reports.
• Collaborate with architecture, electrical, civil, and other disciplines.
