Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking an Experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our on-site team. You will lead HVAC and plumbing design across diverse buildings, mentor engineers, and collaborate with architects, designers, and planners to deliver robust construction documents.

You will develop HVAC concepts, perform site assessments, and ensure code-compliant designs while leveraging BIM in a multidisciplinary environment. The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and project impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in consulting HVAC engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure.
• Proficient in Revit MEP for mechanical design and coordination.
• Design of complex HVAC systems including VAV, DOAS, VRF, data room cooling, and packaged rooftops; chilled water and hydronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of HVAC design concepts.
• Conduct site assessments and building analysis to produce engineering reports and recommendations.
• Identify energy conservation measures and assess costs.
• Provide quality control review of mechanical designs and feedback.
• Serve as Engineer in Responsible Charge, stamping construction documents.
• Mentor a team of engineers and drafters to produce high-quality construction documents.
