Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in steelmaking or heavy industry.
• Experience with industrial mechanical equipment and plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, improve, and optimize mechanical and hydraulic systems across the facility.
• Lead reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime and efficiency.
• Support melting/steelmaking equipment upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting.
• Provide engineering support for large baghouse and environmental systems and regulatory compliance.
• Manage capital and facility improvement projects from concept through commissioning.
• Develop scopes, specifications, bids, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects moving.
• Ensure budgets, safety requirements, and performance expectations are met.
