Job summary

HRU-Tech seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and improve mechanical components and systems for heavy-duty vehicle applications. This hands-on role covers mechanical design, analysis, troubleshooting, and vehicle-level integration, with a focus on CAD, structural analysis, hydraulics, and electrical integration.

Local candidates preferred; contract is 6 months with potential extension or conversion to direct hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve mechanical components and systems for heavy-duty vehicle applications.
• Perform calculations, investigations, analysis, and troubleshooting according to standards.
• Support integration of components into existing and new vehicle platforms.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Model system performance with analytical methods and lead related design decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
