Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• 10+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems for healthcare projects.
• Experience includes central chilled water and boiler plants, HVAC design for hospital departments, ambulatory surgery centers, freestanding EDs, MOBs, and project oversight.
• Self-motivated with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Well organized with good note-taking and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and quality oversight for mechanical engineering work.
• Mentor and develop staff through training.
• Establish and improve standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for mechanical discipline.
• Act as Engineer of Record.
• Provide on-the-spot technical and cost-estimates decisions.
• Coordinate with all disciplines and outside consultants.
• Interface with code officials and contractors.
