Job summary

Plan B Climatech is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead healthcare projects across the US from concept through construction completion. The role is hybrid (2 days in office) and requires senior leadership to guide the mechanical team and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities include designing HVAC for complex clinical spaces, managing client relationships, and coordinating with in-house disciplines to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred and helpful for leadership.
• 7+ years of experience in an A/E consulting environment with healthcare exposure.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

• Lead mechanical design on healthcare projects of all sizes, from concept design to completion of construction
• Design HVAC systems for complex clinical spaces such as operating rooms, isolation rooms and central plants
• Be the main technical and client-facing lead, managing relationships, the project team and the schedule
• Supervise the mechanical staff's day-to-day work
• Mentor engineers on technical skills and career development
• Work closely with the in-house electrical, plumbing, fire protection and other teams

What you'll bring

• A PE licence (Ideally)
• 7+ years of experience in an A/E consulting environment
• A proven track record of managing projects successfully
• Strong HVAC design expertise and a working knowledge of the related disciplines
