Job summary

Mainspring Energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of the frame support structure and air spring system for the Linear Generator technology. You will own detailed design, numeric analyses, and testing to ensure precise alignment under high loads and thermal conditions.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on prototyping, 3D CAD proficiency (SolidWorks), FEA experience (thermal, structural), and a track record of delivering robust hardware in energy equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop frame and air spring subsystems, focusing on tight alignment and high load transfer.
• Plan and execute verification testing for functional, durability, thermal, and vibration requirements.
• Collaborate with Controls, Manufacturing, and Suppliers for seamless integration and DFM/DFX.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and lead design documentation ( drawings, GD&T).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive reliability improvements across life cycles.
