Job summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with facility design experience to join one of our offices.

This position targets candidates with 8-15 years of experience applying standard mechanical engineering techniques across projects in building design, central plants, and energy infrastructure. You will lead design efforts, mentor designers, and collaborate across disciplines while contributing to state or federal building design and retrofits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 8+ years of relevant facility design experience.
• Possess PE, or able to obtain PE within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinates mechanical design with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, civil, I&C).
• Support preparation of engineering and cost estimating reports through data analysis.
• Prepare and check design computations for system design, equipment and pipe sizing, and conditions of service.
• Assist in the preparation of technical specifications for equipment and material.
• Lead and mentor designers/engineers to develop designs and prepare drawings.
• Work with design and equipment sizing software to prepare documents.
• Perform field/site visits for observations, data collection, and documentation for clients/projects.
• Consult with construction personnel on design constructability related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling.
