M.C. Dean, a leader in Building Intelligence, seeks a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead and support design, bid, and execution of mechanical systems in facilities operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities span design reviews, bid packages, and construction oversight, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and lifecycle asset management. The role requires a BS in mechanical engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience, plus strong coordination with field teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, project execution, or facilities engineering.
• Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and construction management.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and engineering software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trane Trace).
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, IBC, and local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Design Work: develop and review mechanical system designs (HVAC, piping, plumbing) and perform load calculations.
• Bid Work: create scopes of work, technical specs, and bid packages; evaluate proposals.
• Run Work: provide technical oversight during construction; coordinate with contractors and stakeholders; site inspections and submittal reviews.
• Facilities Support: engineering support for operations, preventive maintenance planning, and lifecycle asset management.
