Job summary

Noon Energy in Mountain View, California is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 7–10 years of hands-on experience to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and hardware for our long-duration energy storage platforms.

You will own the full lifecycle from concept through production, collaborate across engineering disciplines and vendors, and apply CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and GD&T.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience owning products from concept to production.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Own full product lifecycle from modeling to BOM.
• Design process systems with instrumentation.
• Perform stress, thermal, fluid, and tolerance analyses.
• Lead design reviews and mentor teammates.
