Job summary

Roguebeam in Seattle seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of radar sensor nodes end‑to‑end, including the array panels, enclosures and thermal systems. You will drive designs from concept through qualification and production with cross‑functional teams.

This role emphasizes DFx, rugged outdoor deployments, and high‑density electronics. You’ll build low‑cost, volume‑ready solutions, lead thermal/structural analysis, plan testing, and coordinate with vendors to scale

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in mechanical design of electronics hardware.
• Thermal design ownership for high-density electronics.
• Experience with ruggedized outdoor enclosures.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and GD&T.
• Hands-on lab skills for prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through production for radar sensor nodes.
• Lead thermal management and structural analysis.
• Plan and execute environmental qualification testing.
• Define interfaces with RF/antenna/electronics teams.
• Manage vendors and drive cost reductions.
