Kapta Space in Seattle, WA, seeks a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to lead firmware development for our radar sensor and data processing pipeline. You will collaborate with radar, hardware, FPGA, and mechanical engineers to build reliable software for embedded platforms and ground-based servers.

The role requires extensive firmware experience, C/C++, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment. Eligible for equity alongside base compensation.

Formación

• BS or MS in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded firmware development (radar preferred).
• Understanding of BSP, operating systems, bootloaders, MCUs used in satellite systems.
• Proficient in Git, CI, code reviews, and lean startup environments.
• Experience with C/C++.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, design, and implement embedded firmware for Radar Sensor.
• Work with radar algorithm, hardware, FPGA and mechanical engineers.
• Optimize algorithms for embedded processors and edge compute.
• Create test plans and methods for hardware platforms.
• Assist in recruiting and growing the team.
