Heirloom is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the design and execution of complex subsystems, shaping economics, reliability, and scale. You will guide early R&D through NPI and site deployment with a bias toward manufacturable solutions.

You’ll challenge assumptions, weigh tradeoffs, and drive designs with a focus on cost, reliability, and long-term operability. This is a high-ownership role with technical leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years design and delivery across full lifecycle (concept to production).
• Strong product design passion with robust, simple solutions.
• First principles, modeling, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of complex mechanical subsystems from requirements through deployment.
• Drive subsystem performance on cost, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability.
• Design and develop product-level test equipment and validation strategies for reliability.
