Job summary

ShadowObjects, LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support advanced DoD programs in Dahlgren, VA. This full-time, on-site role leads mechanical design efforts from concept through production, including analysis, testing, and documentation of complex systems.

The ideal candidate has eight or more years of comprehensive mechanical design experience, expertise with SolidWorks and Creo, and an active Final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. On-site work only in Dahlgren, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Eight or more years of mechanical design and engineering experience.
• Active Final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and components.
• Apply mechanics and materials principles to assess performance and reliability.
• Lead design efforts for assemblies including fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Develop production equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Perform mechanical and thermal stress analyses for system integrity.
• Conduct testing to validate performance and design requirements.
• Plan and execute projects to meet technical and schedule goals.
• Create technical data packages (TDPs) per DoD standards.
