Job summary

The role requires advanced experience in 3D CAD (SolidWorks), FEA/CFD, and thermal management, with responsibilities spanning design documentation, BOMs, and integration with machinists and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 8+ years of experience in mechanical or thermal systems.

Responsibilities

• Take mechanical designs from concept through detailed design, fabrication, assembly, integration, and test.
• Capture cooling requirements for directed energy systems and develop thermal control systems to meet those needs.
• Document designs, prepare bills of materials, and coordinate procurement; audit as‑built systems for compliance.
• Create 3D models and detailed mechanical designs for hardware and systems from concept to testing.
• Perform engineering analysis to support design decisions and verify mechanical performance.
• Develop engineering drawings with precise dimensions and tolerances per company standards.
• Collaborate with machinists, fabricators, technicians, and vendors to support fabrication.
• Lead mechanical subsystems or projects and communicate status to teams and customers.
