Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Data Centers in the United States to lead mechanical design for data centers, oversee multi-location project teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards from scope development through commissioning.

You will collaborate with in-house engineering teams, engage clients, manage budgets, and contribute to a variety of mission-critical projects with strong emphasis on HVAC, piping, and fire protection systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license preferred or required.
• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in data centers or power-intensive facilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, and fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical discipline on data center design projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple locations.
• Produce plans, drawings, and models for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Travel as required.
