Job summary

SSOE Group seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Data Centers to lead mechanical design for mission-critical data center projects. You will collaborate with in-house engineering and architecture teams to meet client scope from development through commissioning and start-up.

You will bring 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience, a PE license, and expertise in HVAC, piping, and data center systems, with proficiency in Revit for BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience; data center design required.
• Knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and related mechanical systems; codes and standards.
• Experience using Revit for BIM and design coordination.

Responsibilities

• Act as mechanical discipline project lead on data center design projects with multi-location teams.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget; coordinate resources to meet objectives.
• Develop plans, drawings, specifications, and models for piping, HVAC, and related systems.
• Maintain client communication and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Perform field verification and site walks; resolve on-site design issues.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and support change management and proposals.
