Job summary

SSOE seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Data Centers to lead mechanical design on critical data center projects. You will collaborate with in‑house engineering teams to deliver HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems that meet high standards from scope development to commissioning. Travel will be required.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, proficiency with Revit, and strong leadership and communication skills. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• PE license with ability to register in additional states.
• Minimum 12 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in data centers.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, and building systems; knowledge of codes.

Responsibilities

• Act as mechanical discipline lead on data center projects with multi-discipline teams.
• Ensure project scope, schedule, and budget are met; manage technical resources.
• Prepare plans, specs, and models for piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and communicate with clients.
