Job summary

Leoforce in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the analysis, design, and evaluation of building systems. You will develop drawings, specs, reports, and cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, control systems, medical gas, and fire protection, mentor staff, and manage client relationships.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or related field, PE license with 15+ years of experience, LEED AP preferred, and a hybrid schedule with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or architectural engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer license with at least 15 years of building mechanical design experience.
• LEED AP or equivalent sustainability certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards and energy modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems for projects.
• Develop drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Oversee project management and assist in client relationship efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in business development.
• Perform field investigations, energy audits, and life-cycle cost analyses.
