Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Raleigh to lead the mechanical/HVAC design of complex building projects. You will work closely with clients to balance performance, constructability, budget, and energy efficiency, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will hold a PE license and a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with hands-on leadership experience and strong design and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical/HVAC design for complex building projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment selections.
• Develop mechanical system concepts based on client requirements and budgets.
• Evaluate existing systems and prepare project specifications and docs.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise discipline staff.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
